Kitzbuhel is a beautiful medieval town and ski resort in Tyrol, Austria, located 100km east of Innbsburck. It offers winter guests 168km of slopes, 40km of cross country tracks and is a favourite with celebrities, especially around the time of the Hahnenkamm races in January.

It is here that you will see the most famous ski run in the world, The Streif! All in all Kitzbuhel is a skiers dream come true!

If you fancy some night skiing, then Thursday and Friday nights on floodlit Gaisberg Mountain are for you, the slope is open from 6.30pm - 9.30pm.

Another great attraction of this resort is its state of the art accessible ski lifts and adaptive skiing and riding for those with disabilities or special needs, a truly inclusive resort that everyone can enjoy.

NYE Parties & Events

Kitzbuhel is known for its glitz and elite clientele and unlike many other resorts, their big celebrations take place on the 1st of January! There is a spectacular display from the Ski Instructors from the Red Devils and Element3 which include daring fire jumps, there's live music, torch lit parade and some magnificent fireworks to make your new year a memorable one!

Most locals head to the bottom of the Hahnenkamm slope, drinking Gluhwein, singing and celebrating while waiting for the fireworks. This attracts tens of thousands of visitors, so it's really important to get there in plenty of time, it's going to be busy!!

Many of the restaurants and hotels hold Gala dinners, remember to book in advance, people flock here for the New Year festivities so get your table booked pronto, there are so many great places to choose from.
