The Rose Parade is part of the famous new years day celebrations in the California city of Pasadena that make up the iconic Tournament of Roses and also includes the Rose Bowl college football game. These events combine to form one of the biggest new year celebrations anywhere in the world, and watching on TV or via live stream has become a feature of new years day for many people.
2023 saw Actor LeVar Burton in the role of Grand Marshall for the "Dream, Believe. Achieve" themed parade.
The Rose Parade has been a feature of new years day in the United States since 1980 and is watched by an audience numbering in the hundreds of thousands live on the day, as well as many more millions via online streaming and TV coverage, both national and international.
Parade Schedule
The Rose Parade gets underway at 8.00am on 1st January and follows a route that takes in Orange Grove Boulevard, Sierra Madre Boulevard, San Gabriel Boulevard and the Arroyo parkway.
