Visiting Valparaiso for New Years Eve, well that’s great news for
you and the million other people who flock to this Chilean city.
This place is just bursting with life when it comes to bringing in
the new year.
Valparaiso is a fantastic place to get out an explore, a must, is to take a ride on one of the many Ascensor (Funicular) including Reina Victoria, Artilleria and Concepcion. Stop by one of the many glorious museums like Museo de Historia Natural de Valparaiso or the Fine Art Museum at Palacio Baburizza.
If like me you like a bit of street art, then you’re I for a treat, as the city is covered in it, try out Templeman Street on Cerro Alegre.

New Year in Valparaiso starts early on in the week all
culminating in a huge fireworks display on New Years Eve that
attracts over a million people to the city. They don’t mess about
either, they arrive pretty early to secure a decent viewing spot for
the fireworks that light up the sky between Valparaiso and Vina del
