Courchevel is a well known ski resort in the French Alps, located
in Tarentaise Valley, Savoie in the Rhone-Alpes region. One of its'
perks is it's reputation for a virtually queue free lift system,
making your time on the slopes super easy.
Courcheval is synonomous with wealth and prestige, and is the St Tropez of Winter sports attracting the rich and famous to its slopes. A favourite destination with the likes of Prince William and Kate, George Clooney, the Beckhams, the Saudi royal family.
When you are attracting such an elite clientele it guarantees that the resort will be offering fine dining (we are talking Michelin Stars here) top class hotels and high end shopping, so this is a great location to really splash out for New Year!
Not wanting to be outdone by other ski resorts Courcheval opts
for a massive party on the piste, at the centre of the resort.
Fantastic festivities ensue with live DJ, dance party on the snow,
stilt walkers and of course the firework display, it's awesome!
On new years day there is the torch lit descent at the Altiport.
Courcheval is the place to go when you're looking for luxury. Bringing in the new year in one of the Michelin star restaurants, or just cosying up with friends and family in one of the many lounge bars, New Year in this gorgeous location will be unforgettable. As with all the ski resorts, the vast majority of bars and clubs will operate on a ticket only basis.
Here is just a small selection of the restaurants you may want to visit, remember, book early for New Year to avoid disappointment!
