What genuine bliss, New Year's Eve in Nassau, where you can go from lazing around on the beach in the morning, to full on Junkanoo experience and all the new years celebrations in the evening.

This idyllic location, found on the New Providence Island in the Bahamas, is a magnet for those looking to indulge in some stunning weather with thousands of tourists alighting from the many cruise ships that come into Nassau Harbour.

Junkanoo Parade

Be prepared to get crazy for new years eve in Nassau, grab your costume and head to Bay Street and Shirley Street for the famous Junkanoo, a traditional Bahamian celebration that takes over the city, from 26th December to 1st January. With masquerade street performers, music, big Mardi Gras style parade and fireworks over Nassau harbour that will set the sky alight over this slice of paradise.

Junkanoo tends to start after midnight and goes on throughout the night until around 10am. There will be bleachers to sit on but these are ticketed but you can watch for free just standing in the street!

NYE Fireworks

There will be fireworks all over the city and many people also head on over to Marina Village for their pyrotechnics and great party atmosphere.
